Powder Puff practices after school starting next week (September 22-26).
The 24th Annual Young Writers & Artists Fest is holing a LOGO DESIGNER CONTEST. The Theme for this year is "Heroes of the Arts". For more information see Mr. Westenskow or Ms. Shupe. All entries must be submitted by Friday, November 7th.
"Are you interested in becoming a member of the MLMS Science Club? If so, we will be holding our first meeting Thursday September 25th from 3:20-4:10 p.m. in room 213. Mr. Bingham and Mr. Hutchinson will be advisors for the club. Please feel free to come to any of the future meetings if you can't make this one. The meetings will be held most every Thursday throughout the school year".
Come join a great club "Beyond Measure" a social club with fun activities. Come be a part of this club and mentor students with disabilities. We meet the 4th Wednesday of every month, unless we have a special activity. So please, sign up with Alexis Pintor or with Ms. Ray's (room #113). The first Club will be a meet and greet, with food and games on September 24th from 3:15 till 4:15. So come have some fun!!!!!
Attention 7th & 8th Grade students: You are invited to participated in the 31st Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay & Video Contest. For more information stop by the front office and pick up a packet.
MATH Counts Club meets every Wednesday in Mr. Hoskins' room (312).
Student and Teachers! Remember starting this year, the Media Center will charge a 5 cent a day fine for library books that are overdue. Overdue books cannot be renewed. Students may only check out books if their fines are resolved. The bookmark you receive at check out tells you when your book is due.
ATTENTION 6th Graders: Primary Elections are being held this week. Don't forget to go online and vote!
ATTENTION all 8th students: If your planning on coaching or being on a Powder Puff team, don't forget you must attend a short meeting today in North Gym. Sign-ups will be held Sept. 15th-18th. Practices will be held Sept. 22nd-Sept.26th. Games will be held Sept. 29th-Oct.3rd.
"Make Your Mark" bookmark contest. Design a bookmark on the official UESP and Zions Bank enter form and submit it to UESP for entry into the contest. The Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) and Zions First National Bank will award eight $1,000 UESP college savings scholarship accounts to celebrate Governor Herbert's declaration naming September as College Savings Month in Utah. It is time for the 17th annual RED RIBBON RUN. It will be held on Saturday, September 27th @ 9:00 a.m. at Cedar Ridge Middle School. This 5K/1 mile walk-run event is dedicated to increasing awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promoting healthy drug free lifestyles! To register see Mrs. Godderidge, go online at brhd.org,or stop by the front office and pick up a flyer. All registration forms must be turned in to Mrs. Godderidge by Monday, September 22nd at 3:15 pm. The cost is $10 with a shirt, $5 without.
Early Morning sports is up and running now. They will be held in the West Gym beginning at 7:30 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday they will begin at 8:00 am.
Don't forget Wednesdays are late start days. This means schools starts at 9:40 am for students. Doors are open at 9:00 am.
At Mount Logan Middle School students stay in the designated lunch areas during lunch time. This would be the basketball courts, outdoor picnic area, north and south cafeterias. Please stay away from the portables and parked vehicles. Also, students who elect to keep the outside designated lunch areas free of trash will be allowed to continue using the outdoor lunch areas.
Attention ALL Students: Remember cell phones are to be turned off and put away as you enter the school. You are welcome to use your cell phones after school as you exit the building.
The following dates are closed to 2013-2014 bus requests for busses leaving schools before 9:15 am or returning to schools after 1:45 pm on Monday through Thursday, and 12:30 pm on Fridays. Busses are unavailable for field trips on the following date: 2014: September 20, 2014; May 21, 26, 27, & 28, 2015
